Almost every person in the United States if asked can remember exactly where they were during a certain tragic event. People often associate themselves and their generation to a certain national tragedy or a group of national tragedies. For example, that part of Generation Y and some from Millennials would naturally consider the biggest and most devastating national tragedy to be the attacks on the World Trade Center buildings, on September 11, 2001. No other event in United States history has ever sparked such a wild debate resulting in countless amounts of conspiracies about September 11. Although, those attacks are by the books a national tragedy it was not the first of its kind. Decades before, a successful assassination attempt on the thirty-fifth president of the United States would shake the nation into the realization that no matter how well liked a person is there are always people trying to push them down.
